Southern Maryland “Hawks” Youth Association (SMYA) has served as a pillar in the Charles County community, for the past 21 years, inspiring the pursuit of excellence through teaching and coaching the fundamentals of youth football and cheerleading.  SMYA was officially formed in January 2004 as a non-profit section 501(c)(3) organization.  SMYA is a community based organization that is administered, operated and managed by volunteers (board members and coaches).  The SMYA Board is comprised of a Board of Directors and Executive Body, which consist of President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary.
